St Patrick's Primary School
St Patrick’s Primary School is located on the outskirts of the village of Waterfoot, in the heart of the Glens of Antrim in a peaceful, rural environment where the children can enjoy the benefits of nature. We are fortunate to have extensive tarmac and grass play areas which back on to spectacular views of Glenariff Glen at the back of the school and views over the Sea of Moyle at the front.
A Catholic ethos is fostered throughout the school and a caring pastoral system ensures that strong links are nurtured between home, parish and school. Children are encouraged to voice their ideas through the School/Eco-Council.
Our school provides an extremely high standard of learning and receives strong support from parents and the wider parish community. We provide a wide and balanced curriculum; there is a strong ethos within the school to promote the wide variety of sporting and musical talents of our children. Over the years the school has enjoyed excellent academic, cultural, social and sporting results.
There is a warm, welcoming atmosphere in St Patrick’s; we encourage regular visitors to the school and educational visits further afield. We adhere to the healthy eating initiative, morning snacks and dinners are freshly prepared on the premises. Above all, we endeavour to provide a happy learning environment where each child has a sense of self-worth. Our school motto is:
“At St Patrick’s Primary School
We are all valued
We always do our best.”
