Primary One and Two were very lucky to be invited to the RNLI Red Bay Lifeboat Station in Cushendall this morning. They listened beautifully to a a very informative talk from Conor about their job as volunteers for the RNLI and then Pat taught the children all about water safety. The children were able to remember lots of important facts and I was so impressed with how attentive they were throughout. Afterwards they had great fun trying on the uniforms, finding out about the various different boats and tractors and listening to stories about their experiences. Thank you to all the volunteers who made this such a valuable and fun experience for all the children. Hopefully they have ignited interest in many of the children for the future.
