As part of our ‘Moving Things’ topic, the children were given the task of designing a unique toy which could move if it was pushed or pulled. They had great fun using various construction toys, junk materials and teddies to create a wide variety of toys. They drew fantastic pictures to illustrate their finished product and rated it on a 3 scale choice as to how satisfied they were with it. I think the best part was actually playing with them. Some of them even made minor adjustments to improve them. This included joining their toy with another child’s to make it even more fun. Many of them chose to keep their toys on display to use another day as they had so much fun with them.
