The Little Red Hen is brought to life in P2
Over the past week, I asked you all to investigate the power of wind through windmills and the story of The Little Red Hen. Sophie sent me in some fabulous examples of the work she completed in this area. Not only did she manage to create some beautiful windmills from recyclable materials and colourful magazines, she also recreated the story with her own toys. I love the way she took this story even further by baking her own gluten free bread. I hope lots more of you had fun with this as well. It was also good to hear that she enjoyed using the Oxford Owl website to find out about The Little Red Hen. Some of you may have read other versions with slightly different endings. I had attached a cold air balloon experiment to last weeks homework, and as you can see from the short video clip, it really does work!.
The Primary Ones excelled in Mathletics this week and Aody even managed to achieve a silver award with his bronze. Well done to Ronan, Clodagh, Sophie, Sophia and Oisin who also achieved a bronze award. Some of you are so close to getting your first silver award, so keep up the hard work.
