Primary Two and Three released their beautiful Painted Lady Butterflies last week. The children thoroughly enjoyed watching the caterpillars grow, change into chrysalises and emerge. Watching the butterflies fly for the first time and feed from the fruit inside the butterfly garden was really special. Never have caterpillars been so closely observed or talked about so much! Special thanks to the families who did some pet sitting over the weekend. The Primary Two and Three children decided that the butterflies should be released beside our school apple tree since there would be plenty of nectar nearby and they might even pollinate the flowers!
