P.5 & P.6 have been looking at materials this term in their topic work. Last week we tried out an experiment to see how well different types of paper absorb water. We tested tracing paper, baking paper, newspaper, drawing paper, toilet paper, sandpaper and paper towels. We found out that paper towels and toilet paper were the most absorbent- the water soaked into the these types of paper really quickly. Most of the other types of paper absorbed some water but the sandpaper didn't absorb any.
