Take 5 and Eco Schools Awards

Today we took a moment in school to reflect on all we have achieved this year, including receiving our Take 5 Level 3 award and our third Green Flag.

The Take 5 Level 3 award recognises our school’s commitment to promoting our children’s mental health and emotional wellbeing. It is the highest level of award in this area and it has resulted in our children having an increased awareness of strategies to support their mental health and emotional wellbeing. A special mention goes to our hardworking PTFA’s support and funding in this area to enable our school to provide opportunities for our children to ‘Connect’, ‘Keep Learning’, ‘Be Active’, ‘Take Notice’ and ‘Give’.

Our third Green Flag has given opportunities for our children to ensure that they have a positive impact in our environment and on the planet. There have been beach cleans, an eco friendly bucket and spade shed, gardening and much, much more. We are very grateful to Mrs McDaid for leading this area of the curriculum.

These awards are a testament to our teachers’ dedication and our children’s enthusiasm for these topics.
