Sounds and Colours of Africa in P1 and P2
This week brought our topic exploring the sounds and colours of Africa to an end. The children have thoroughly enjoyed using story, music and art to explore rhythm, pattern and dance. The instruments they created last week, using junk modelling, were fantastic and they used some very creative patterns and collage to bring them to life. They found out about lots of different animals found in the Congo, Sahara and Savannah and enjoyed choosing an interesting fact to write non-chronological reports about an animal of their choice. Traditional clothes and food were explored through stories and there was some very realistic Safari exploring in our role play area. Thank you to everyone who sent in such amazing resources to make it such a fun place for the children to enjoy.
