Primary One and Two had a great day out for Shared Education with our partner schools - St Ciaran’s, Cushendun and Bushvalley P.S. in Stranocum. Over the next three weeks we will be exploring Spring and Easter through Art, Poetry, P.E. and WAU. Today the children created poems about Spring using an outline of a hand to structure their ideas. Spring pictures inspired lots of beautiful words, phrases and ideas. Collage lambs and chicks were made using paint, paper plates and cotton wool and a fun Spring themed relay race took place in the playground which encouraged the children to jump like frogs, leap like lambs, squat to lay eggs, stretch and grow like flowers. After lunch the children had a little time for free play outside and this ended a fun filled day for everyone. Thank you to our invaluable extra parent helpers, our host school Bushvalley Primary School and to all the children who behaved brilliantly and were a credit to all their schools.
