A few weeks ago we had Science Week at school. Each day the classes had a different experiment to look at and try to explain. The experiments focused on why a potato floated in one container of water and not another, density, what happened to a burning candle in a jam jar and the lid was put on, how light is refracted through water and surface tension.
The children were brilliant at thinking of explanations for what they observed and enthusiastic each morning to see which experiment they were going to have. Well done to the children who tried some of the experiments at home with different materials to see what would happen.
