Planting out Oak Trees in primary Three and Four
28th Jun 2019
In September 2017 the then Primary Twos and Threes decided to try to grow oak trees from acorns. They have been looking after them ever since. Many of the children were tasked with tree sitting over holiday periods and they had seven little oaks to show for all the hard work. Today to mark the end of the year they planted out their little saplings in the school grounds. The children had a great morning, digging planting and watering. Special thanks to Mr Dinsmore who dug the holes!
Little acorns really do grow into giant oaks. One little girl is hoping to show the trees to her children when they come back to school.
