P.4 & 5 News Update

22nd Jan 2021

Lots of boys and girls have kept themselves busy this week with art projects, farming, baking and even hiking. Francesca is holding a penguin puppet that she got for Christmas. She also completed some cross-stitch penguin craft …well done!  Joshua and his family enjoyed a hike along Ronan’s Way in Glendun- from what I hear this is quite a challenge so great achievement Joshua.

Michael and Orlaith spent considerable time on their penguin art project using cardboard, paint, pipe cleaners and tissue paper- I particularly liked the different hats on each penguin. Of course, the calves were looked after between times.

Matthew has drawn a mammoth looking for cover from fireballs and an exploding volcano. He also fitted time in to bake some delicious looking bread and I must say, he looks very much the chef. If only we could get to taste it Matthew.... maybe when we get back to school you could bring in a sample.

Caoimhe used her artistic talent to make a mother and son mammoth out of plastic milk bottles. I love the fringed paper showing the hairy heads of the mammoths and of course those tusks look fierce. Looks like they might be about to fight!!!!   Ava used strips of colourful felt to create her mammoth and then finished it off with sparkly tusks. It must have taken a lot of time to cut up all the fabric and arrange it to give that hairy effect. Brilliant job!
