On Tuesday 12th April, children from Primary 5 to Primary 7 displayed their musical talents in a performance in front of the whole school. They played instruments including the fiddle, the bodhrán and the tin whistle, accompanied by their tutor, Mr Glasgow.
Mr Glasgow has been teaching the children throughout the year on a weekly basis and the progress the children have made was evident during this thoroughly enjoyable performance. It is a pleasure to see the children's talents developing and their confidence growing as they become more familiar with their musical instrument of choice.
Some of the children have only been playing since September but can already play a 'tune' on their own or with a small group. Others are more experienced and display all the qualities of seasoned performers despite their lack of years.
Thank you to Mr Glasgow for all of his hard work throughout the year.
