Maths and Literacy success in Primary One and Two
What a week of successes for writing and number work in Primary One and Two. It was great to see such great examples of you all being so creative and working hard.
The Mathletics achievements this week have been fantastic. Particular mention to Neala who not only managed to get started on it but also achieved her first bronze award. I was delighted to see this. Keep it up. Also well done to Aody, Ronan, Shannon, Sophie and Clodagh who also achieved a bronze award. Clodagh also managed to achieve a silver award. The first for our class. Congratulations.
Some of you sent me photos of you hard at work at home. Aody had some brilliant ideas for practical maths and used his toy figures to create a great display for ordinal numbers. Oisin demonstrated his amazing handwriting progress with his story writing. It was great to see you write down so much detail. I loved your idea of creating a monster from your tissue box to support your mental maths work. Well done to Isla who also demonstrated some fantastic handwriting with her beautifully set out seal fact file. She has also been expanding her already amazing art skills by taking part in a zoom art class and freezing pencil shavings!
Keep up all your hard work everyone and remember to keep in touch through my email to let me know how you are getting on and to share some examples of your lovely work.
