Primary One and Two have had lots of magical fun this week with the Winnie the Witch stories by Valerie Thomas and Korey Paul. At the start of the week we planned what kind of activities they would like to do in play. They came up with some great ideas which have kept us so busy over the week. They started the week with a visit to the beach to find a perfect magic wand and ingredients for their spells. These wands (sticks) were painted to make them unique and some special magic dust was added to make them sparkle. Lots of amazing spells were created over our cauldron and some teachers were even turned into frogs! Winnies castle was recreated using a wide variety of construction equipment and they made some beautiful pictures of their favourite story from the series using pastels on black paper.
