Last few weeks in Primary Three and Four

29th Jun 2021

Primary Three and Four have been busy in the last few weeks.

They released the butterflies they had watched grow from tiny caterpillars.  Special thanks to Rory and Conor for taking such special care of the cocoons while they emerged over the long weekend.  A special mention to Eoghan as well who gave us the huge butterfly habitat to use, thank-you very much.   Primary Three and Four were delighted to add to the pollinator population in Glenariff.

We enjoyed a lovely afternoon at the beach on Monday building sandcastles and having fun.  Lots of other visitors to the beach commented on their fantastic behaviour and beautiful sandcastles.

Primary Three and Four have also really enjoyed working together on a huge class picture showing nature.

The children worked brilliantly together talking chatting and sharing.  They were delighted with the end result.

We topped off Sports Day with yummy ice-lollies and on Thursday Shannon and her Mummy were up early and made buns for us all, thank-you so much Patricia and Shannon!

Lastly Primary Three and Four have been growing giant sunflowers as part of their Growing and Changing topic.  The children have taken them home to grow over the summer.  We are all looking forward to seeing pictures in September of how they grow over the summer.
