Primary One and Two have had great fun this week exploring our new topic, Nursery Rhymes. They have been using Incy Wincy spider as their inspiration and have had great fun both inside and outdoors completing their activities. Lots of amazing pictures were created using junk modelling and collage. They also worked with a partner to illustrate and label pictures. Scavenger hunts to find hidden features from the rhyme hiding in their bug village proved to be quite challenging, as a few of the cards were so well hidden they couldn’t be found and extras had to be created. They exploring pouring and water flow by creating a track for a spider to be washed down. Lots of problem solving and team work was evident throughout the week to help them realise they needed varying heights and extra water to get the spider to the bottom. We have also been sequencing the words in the rhyme, hunting for number spiders with our tongs and much more. It has been a full filled week.
