Hurling Success
On Friday, our Primary 6&7 hurling team travelled to Ballycastle to compete in the Cumann na mBunscol outdoor hurling blitz.
The standard of hurling was exceptionally high on the day, but the boys showed that they could compete with any of the other schools involved. They managed to secure five wins and only suffered two narrow defeats at the hands of strong St Patrick's & St Brigid's, Ballycastle and St Joseph's, Dunloy sides, which earned them a place in the shield semi-final.
They went on to win both their semi-final and final to lift the shield, carrying on a strong tradition of hurling success in St Patrick's.
Well done to all of the boys including those who attended afterschool training or represented our school at the indoor event earlier in the year. We now look forward to the skills day, which is scheduled to take place in Glenariff on the 9th June.
