On Tuesday 27th June, the whole school met at the Forest Park for fundraising walk to finish off our school year. The classes split into 3 groups: Primary 1 & 2 completed the Rainbow walk (about 1 mile); Primary 3 & 4 did the Waterfall walk (around 3 miles) whilst Primary 5-7 completed the longer Scenic Walk of approx. 5 miles.
Despite the misty morning, the children really enjoyed their walk with their classmates, teachers, assistants and parent helpers.
We are really grateful to the Glenariff Improvement Group who funded lunch for everyone, hot food, icecream and a party bag - what a fantastic treat at the end of our walk!
We also really appreciate the donations raised by our families, in total we raised £665 which will go towards school improvements in the next academic year.
On behalf of all our staff and children, thank you so much to everyone who contributed to making this day such a success. We wish you all a lovely summer and look forward to seeing you all on August 31st.
