Fundraising walk at the Forest Park
On Tuesday morning, the whole school met up at the Forest Park for our fundraising walk.
It was a misty morning with a little bit of drizzle early on, but fortunately the rain held off and we had a lovely walk together in the three key stages. The children really enjoyed being together and looking out for the wildlife although we didn't manage to spot any red squirrels this time!
At the end of the walk, we were once again treated to a wonderful lunch with ice-cream and party bags, all provided by the Glenariff Improvement Group. We are so grateful to them for their kindness and patience in dealing with such a large crowd of children and adults. Although they would not allow us to contribute to the lunch, we have set aside money to purchase some educational software in the new term in their name.
Donations for the walk came to a total of £300. Thank you all so much for your continued generosity, this money raised will be put to good use next year to help pay towards the various treats, prizes and trips which we incur during the school year.
We wish you all a really long and happy summer holiday.
