Forest Schools for P1 and P2
Today was Primary One and Two’s turn to experience the wonderful activities outdoors led by Pam from Forest Schools. They found out all about camouflage with a fun hide the ‘worms’ and find them game. Pam read the children a lovely story about building a tree house, while respecting animal habitats. They then worked in small groups to build a nest for a little bird, remembering the importance of only using things found on the ground and not to pull anything off trees etc. After break there were great investigating skills all over the school grounds as they completed a fun scavenger hunt. The highlight for many of them was making bubble wands by coring out the inside of an elder twig and then dipping it into bubble solution and blowing through it. It was a great morning to finish of a very busy week in P1 and P2.
