Book Scoop
Dear Parents,
We have recently introduced Accelerated Reading (AR) into our school, and we feel the P.3 to P.7 pupils are enjoying the freedom of picking their own books to read and completing quizzes on these texts. In fact, they are so enthusiastic about reading, that we feel that we need to stock up on more books in our Accelerated Reading Library. Lots of books that you have in your house, may in fact have an AR quiz and so could be used in our library. We are asking you to do a ‘Book Scoop’ or clear out of any children’s books that you may no longer need and send them into school. We can then see if there is a quiz to match the book and, if so, it can be introduced into our library. It is quite easy to check if the book belongs to the AR system, so if you want to check this at home, simply go to the website below and enter the title of the book into the search bar. If there is a quiz to match the book please send the book to school and we will add it to our system. We would really appreciate your help.
