Big Pedal
A huge congratulations to everyone who has taken part in the Big Pedal Challenge 2018 so far.
The number of children participating has been very high and they have commented on how much they have enjoyed the challenge.
On our best day this week, over 77% of children cycled or scooted to school with 67% on average taking part in the challenge each day.
This places us in 17th place in the UK and 6th place in Northern Ireland after the first four days of the challenge with Friday's numbers still to be added.
On top of this success we have also won scooter parking in Wednesday's Big Pedal draw which will be useful considering how full our bike shelter has been this week.
A huge thanks to all of our parents who have supported the challenge, making sure that our children can be involved with their classmates. We understand that it is not always easy and we appreciate all of your efforts.
Finally, a special mention to the Primary 1 children who have been a great example to everyone else, coming to school on their bikes and scooters with many still using stabilisers.
We will keep you updated with our statistics as the challenge progresses. Hopefully we can continue to make a push as we enter the final week of the Big Pedal.
