Beach fun with our Shared Education friends in P1 and P2
It was our turn today to welcome the children from Bushvalley P.S. and St. Ciaran’s P.S. Cushendun to our school for some fun at the beach. We did our best to try and avoid the rain showers, but with most of us kitted out in our wellies, puddle suits or rain wear, we didn’t let it hamper our fun. The Primary Six children and 3 children from Primary Seven were a great help throughout the day. Each child was designated a group to support and they were all brilliant at helping them with sand castle building, putting on their wellies and providing an extra pair of sensible eyes and hands to ensure all the children were as safe as possible and had great fun. Thank you from all the children and adults for all your hard work. There was great team work and evidence of the children working together with old and new friends. Castles and villages were erected and decorated, holes dug and tried out, moats to the sea developed and even a pumpkin sand castle appeared. Back at school we had a little time left to have a play in the playground. There will be a lot of tired children but it was a great end to our Shared Education experience this year.
