As part of their senses topic Primary Three and Four baked apple sponge on Tuesday. Firstly, the children tasted the cooking apples and compared them to the sweet eating apples we picked off our school tree.
They worked together to make the cake batter for the top. They are a dab hand at cracking eggs and mixing everything up. Of course the sponge was eaten after lunch with some ice-cream and custard.
