Last Friday, we had two very special visitors to the school. Margaret Rowan, from Glenariff, and Pat O'Neill, the Community Ambassador for Mary's Meals in Cookstown, came to talk to the children about the work their charity does and how they reach out to children in countries including Rwanda.
The children were fascinated to hear about these children and to hear how the backpacks they were sending out would make such a difference to these children's lives.
Margaret and Pat were amazed to see how many backpacks our school had gathered: 37 packs in total plus extra items from a school of our size was a wonderful result. We are very proud of all our children for taking part and thank all the parents who supported us in this very worthwhile cause.
