P.4 & 5 were finishing off their 2D shape topic in maths so we decided to have a group challenge. We had 3 groups in the class, each working as a team to build the jigsaw.They needed to pay close attention to the information around the edges of each card so that the shape pictures matched their proper shape names. Lots of tricky shape vocabulary was included in the task so the children had to really think about what they had learned over the past few weeks.
